Our newest
member of the Echoes Of The Heart community is folk artist
Glen McCulloch. It has been said of Glen's work, "He
extracts spirituality and sensuality from everyday life and
presents to the viewer bright scenic views of another
reality where energy vibrates at a small and powerful
level". In addition to his drawings, Glen also creates
kinetic sculptures of wire and glass.
Glen's formal training began at Valley College in San
Bernardino, California, where he studied water color, oil
painting, sculpture and ceramics. However after two years of
university studies he opted to develop his craft and style
by following his own path. In his years fo criss-crossing
the country, Glen refined his approach of learning to really
see what he was looking at. It's that intensity of focus
that is reflected in the energy of his drawings.
Currently his work is available in a variety of shops;
Wood-n-Strings in Townsend, Tennessee, the Appalachian
Fireside Gallery in Berea, Kentucky, the Getaway Gallery in
Grandview, Ohio and the Columbus (Ohio) Museum of Art gift
shop.
