Green Flower
This flower is from a series and like my drawings, they seem to develop as I work on them. Even when copying a design, I often have inspiration for new variations. The flower represents so much to many people at different times. Flowers can be expressions of love, life, joy, sadness and forgiveness. Constructed from galvanized wire and translucent stones, this piece is 8" in diameter.

This design was inspired by a door design on an African witch doctor's containment area. Its symbolism is esoteric and specific to its environment. The design changed as I worked with it and it began to take on more of an American Indian feeling.
